RAJOURI, Apr 29: Secretary of the District Legal Service Authority, Riyaz Ahmed Choudhary, accompanied by District Social Welfare Officer Wakeel Ahmad Bhatt, and Astt LADC Waqar Akram Khan and One Stop Centre Administrator, Nitu Sharma, paid a visit to the One Stop Centre in Rajouri.
The purpose of the visit was to evaluate the center’s operations and ensure its effectiveness in addressing women’s welfare issues in the district.
During the visit, the Secretary took meticulous stock of the center’s functionality, emphasizing the imperative to promote women’s welfare vigorously. He urged the concerned authorities to take decisive legal action in cases of violence against women and to proactively raise awareness among women about the various Government-sponsored women-centric schemes.
Administrator Nitu Sharma provided a comprehensive briefing to the visiting dignitaries regarding the One Stop Centre’s operations. She elucidated that the center serves as a sanctuary for women affected by violence, offering them both shelter and guidance on their legal and social rights.
Moreover, Administrator highlighted the center’s pivotal role in empowering women by acquainting them with available support mechanisms and avenues for legal recourse.
