JAMMU, May 5: Socialistic Democratic Party today organized a protest demonstration against Chinese encroachment in Ladakh region.
SDP leaders including provincial president Deepu Ronetra, its general secretary Ajay Kumar, district president for Rural Jammu Sachin Jamwal, tehsil president Jammu Kamaljit Singh, Daljeet Singh, Taranjeet Singh, Mohan Lal, Girdhari Lal, Krishen Kumar Khurana and many other Party leaders participated in the protest demonstration.
Raising slogans against the Chinese encroachment, SDP leaders also criticized the Central Government of reacting soft and allowing the neighboring countries to make violation on borders.
Addressing the protestors Deepu Ronetra said that the non-serious attitude of the Central Government in maintaining the sanctity of the borders has been a cause of concern for the people. Deepu said that it was the result of the soft image of the country that allows the neighboring countries to execute their sinister plans now and then. “We cannot compromise on an inch of our land. We want the Government to act tough so that nobody dares to cast their sinister looks on our borders and our land,” he added.
He demanded a review of the India’s strategic policy and asked the Central Government to take concrete steps to win over the confidence of the people which has got shattered by the unfortunate news of Chinese intrusion in our land in Ladakh. He said that the suspicions erupted in the minds of the people should be removed by taking concrete steps against China so that such heart-breaking incidents don’t get repeated in future too.
