JAMMU, May 8: Various schools celebrated Mother’s Day with jubilation and zeal, today.
The staff, students and parents of Alexander Memorial School celebrated Mother’s Day today by conducting a special assembly and a Mother’s workshop in the school campus.
The Principal, spoke on this occasion on the responsibility of women as mothers and their role in the modern society. Prizes were given to mothers who won the games.
Tiny Tots Public School, Roop Nagar, Jammu organized an Education league for the welfare of Specially-abled (disabled) children. Various students from the school participated in different categories such as Painting, Quiz, Poetry, Debate and Creative-writing.
During this welfare event, Deepali Handa, Principal of Tiny Tots applauded the efforts made by the students for the noble cause. Kritika Bali, Farhan, Mokshi, Rishab, Akriti, Fiza, Palak, Kangana, Arjun, Manik, Ananya, Arjun Raina, Rhydhm, Rugdra were among the winners while Pranjal was awarded with special award.
Jammu Sanskriti School celebrated Mother’s Day with full enthusiasm class VIII students conducted the morning assembly with a theme “Mom you’re the best”.
Card making activity from class I to VIII was held in which the student prepared beautiful cards for their mother’s. Principal cum Vice – Chairperson Rohini Aima expressed her elation & congratulated to blossoming- Scholars for their whole hearted, enthusiastic involvement in the School activities & intense bonding with their parents and Teachers.
Delhi Public School Udhampur celebrated Mother’s Day in honour of the Mothers of Pre-Primary wing who were invited guest of the school. On this beautiful occasion, a cultural programme was organized by Pre-Primary wing and also few games were played by invited mothers.
Students as well as their mothers expressed their immense and eternal love. On the occasion the programme was presided by chief guest Dr J C Gupta (Chairman, LMC) who in his speech congratulated all the mothers and appreciated the initiative taken by the faculty of DPS Udhampur and also said such programme inculcate the rich traditional value of our culture among students.
Vivek Gupta (guest of honour), Sanjeev Pradhan (Principal), Sucheta Gupta (Vice Principal) and staff were all present on the occasion.
