Srinagar, Dec 4: A Government school building was set ablaze in Kokernag area of South Kashmir’s Anantnag district last night.
Police said that a Government High School was torched in Naar Sangad in Larnoo area of Kokernag last night. He said that the building was gutted in the fire.
Clashes erupted in Tral town of South Kashmir’s Pulwama district this evening after the culmination of a religious function at the shrine of Hazrat Shah-e-Hamdan (RA).
A group of youth pelted stones on the CRPF stationed in the town after the Urs of Hazrat Shah-e-Hamdan ended at Khanqah-e-Faiz Panah. The security forces fired teargas to disperse them.
Shopkeepers closed their shops following the clashes. The market wore a deserted look.
Shutdown was observed in Palhallan area of Pattan in North Kashmir’s Baramulla district today against arrest of three youth.
Youth clashed with security forces during the night after security forces raided the area and arrested three youth.
People came out of their homes and protested to resist the arrests. However, security forces fired teargas to disperse the protesters, triggering clashes.
