JAMMU, Feb 19: All J&K SC, ST Retired Employees Forum has expressed resentment over the poor response of the J&K UT Administration towards the issue of reservation in promotions.
Talking to media persons here today, senior members of the Forum Prof G L Thappa, Pawan Bhagat and Sewa Dass Digra claimed that reservation is being snatched from the reserved categories in well calculative and planned manner. They alleged that even the J&K bureaucracy was anti- SC,ST & OBC.
They claimed that despite several representations to the UT Administration and requests to the Lt Governor, the things remained unmoved and they have not been given time for a meeting. They pointed out that the issue of reservation in promotions was being delayed by the J&K UT Administration and concerned bureaucrat assigned the task of preparing report and recommend the case, believed to have thrown that file in the dustbin
They alleged that some ‘Babus’ were misleading the Lt Governor and Advisors over the issue and have become major road block in the matter. They urged upon the Lt Governor G C Murmu to look into the issues of the reserved catagories and provide them reservation in promotions.
