SAMBA, Feb 19: Under the supervision of Deputy Commissioner, Samba Rohit Khajuria, today an anti encroachment drive was carried out in the main market area in which various structures concrete and raw were demolished which were encroaching the road from National Highway 44 Ghagwal to Randhwal in tehsil Ghagwal, Samba.
During the anti encroachment drive Sub Divisional Magistrate, Ghagwal Ram Kesh Kharma, Tehsildar Ghagwal Harjeet Singh, Naib Tehsildar Sushil Kumar, SHO Ghagwal, Sudhir Sadhotra besides officers from PWD Department and police and revenue officers were also present.
Following the strict directions of Deputy Commissioner, Samba against any encroachment on all the major and minors roads of district Samba, SDM Ghagwal today pressed into service a JCB machine in the market area of Ghagwal and demolished all the concrete structures including ramps, eaves, slabs and other extensions which were severely hampering the smooth movement of vehicles in the area.
General public of the tehsil Ghagwal appreciated the steps taken by administration against the encroachers and appealed that periodic inspection of all the major roads should be taken so that necessary action is taken against the encroachers.
