NEW DELHI : SC refuses to stay Centre’s notification demonetising Rs 500 and Rs 1,000 currency notes.
SC asks Centre to file an affidavit giving details of steps taken to ease inconvenience faced by citizens.
SC agrees with AG’s contention that there will be “some collateral damage in a surgical strike against blackmoney”.
SC, without issuing notice to Govt, posts the matter for further hearing on Nov 25. (agencies)
