SC grants time till May 6 to Centre to apprise feasibility of holding floor test in U’khand Assembly

NEW DELHI: SC grants time till May 6 to Centre to apprise it about the feasibility of holding floor test in U’khand Assembly.
I have conveyed the suggestion and have not received any instructions so far from Govt, AG Mukul Rohatgi to SC.
We have no objection if govt accepts SC suggestion, says counsel for sacked U’khand CM Harish Rawat. Hearing will commence on May 6 even if AG doesn’t apprise us about the Centre’s stand on its suggestion says SC.
We may consider sending the matter to Constitution bench
on May 6, says SC.
Interim order putting stay on U’khand High Court decision quashing President rule will remain in force till further orders. Govt seriously considering SC suggestion to have floor test in Assembly to end controversy: AG to SC.
AG opposes Congress’ submission that floor test will be like vote of confidence motion for Rawat.
