Kindly refer to the subject cited above. In this connection I am to submit that the most of the members of scheduled caste community of the state at present are in possession of scheduled caste certificates issued under SRO 126 dated:2861994. After 11 years, in 2005 SRO 294 was issued. Most of the Govt.Offices demand S.C Certificate issued under SRO294 even from the scheduled castes having certificates issued under SRO 126 for various purposes inspite of the fact that the representatives of this community has been saying that certificates once issued should be valid for all times as caste does not die in Indian Social System. It is said that some years back Govt. had ordered that there was no need to renew the S.C Certificates. But the Govt.offices are either ignorant of this Govt.directive or they deliberately do like this. So the irony of the matter is this that scheduled caste is again and again made to run from pillar to post for proving through documents and reports by the concerned Patwaries that he is a scheduled caste and after many days he gets certificate issued by the concerned tehsildar.
It is, therefore, requested to the Government that all the Govt.offices may kindly be asked to entertain the SC certificate issued under any pertinent SRO.
If it is not possible, the concerned Tehsildar shall take old Certificate in original and on the spot issue new one under current SRO such directive may kindly be issued to every Tehsildar at the eeriest.
