Taking a dig at BJP’s Prime Ministerial candidate Narendra Modi, National Conference patriarch Dr Farooq Abdullah today declared Mr Modi unfit for the PMO post.
Talking to media after performing ziyarat at the dargah of Khwaja Moinuddin Hasan Chisti here today, Mr Abdullah said ‘a person who enjoys faith, confidence and acceptance from all sects and communities in the country could be suitable for this highest post’.
‘Personally I do not find him fit for the job and cannot support and endorse him for the post of Prime Minister’, he said.
When asked about the PM’s candidate name, he said, ‘only Khudaah (the Almighty) can answer this question’.
He said it was only the media which was creating a hype over names of Rahul Gandhi, Narendra Modi and Arvind Kejriwal and that too at a time when the nation faced numerous serious problems and challenges.
Frequent territorial violation by China in Ladakh, growing threat of Al-Qaeda and Taliban forces in Afghanistan are such challenges but nobody giving attention to those issues, he said. (UNI)
