REASI, Mar 18: Local Advisory Committee (LAC) of SBI Rural Self Employment Training Institute (SBIRSETI), held its quarterly meeting under the chairmanship of CJ Tickoo, Regional Manager, State Bank of India, Jammu, in which district officers of various Government Departments and banks participated.
In his inaugural address, CJ Tickoo emphasized on the need for creating awareness amongst the people so that the unemployed youth take advantage of free of cost training facilities provided by the Institute.
SK Kandroo, Convenor Director sought support from members in sponsorship of maximum number of youth for various training programmes and requested NABARD and DRDA for early settlement of financial claims.
The Committee approved Training Calender for the next financial year 2013-14.
At the end, RL Lochan, Lead District Manager, SBI, Reasi presented vote of thanks.
Later, CJ Tickoo, Regional Manager SBI Jammu distributed certificates amongst 21 youth, who completed one week training on “Computer Programme on MS Office and Internet”.
Other district officers present were Vibhakar Khajuria from J&K Bank, SK Chatta from Horticulture, Dr KL Gupta from Animal Husbandary, PL Bhat from Agriculture Department, Surjit Kumar from Employment and Romesh Gandotra from DRDA.
