JAMMU, May 6: State Bank of India, known as country’s largest commercial bank, today introduced a new 24×7 cash deposit machine, first of its kind at Bari Brahmana in district Samba.
Regional Head of the Bank (Region-III J&K) S K Kapoor inaugurated the machine. Branch head, Rajiv Mengi was also present on the occasion besides other staff and prominent people of the area.
The chief guest in his address said that it was amazing to see the advancement of technology. He said it was the time when customers were seen in the queue and waiting for hours to deposit their cash or have normal banking work. With this cash deposit machine, the customers will be benefitted in big way, Mr Kapoor added.
He further said that this dedicated SME branch of SBI in the town provides SME loans to industrialists, big and small traders. He stressed that the technology is the need of the hour and the bank is committed to provide 24×7 service to its esteemed customers.
Earlier, Branch Manager Rajiv Mengi in his welcome address welcomed all the guests and elaborated in detail about cash deposit machine besides other services being provided by this branch.
