SRINAGAR, May 9: Neeraj Vyas, General Manager (GM), State Bank of India, Network III, and Local Head Office, Chandigrah accompanied by A K Jain, Deputy General Manager, SBI Zonal Office, Jammu, visited the Head Office of Ellaquai Dehati Bank, a Regional Rural Bank sponsored by SBI, to review the working of the Bank.
Speaking at the review meeting, Vyas said “Ellaquai Dehati Bank should set bench marks for the future growth of business and should structure its efforts for achieving those bench marks”. He complemented the work done carried out by the Bank during the last three years stressed the need for carrying on the good work for better services to the people of the State.
He said that the Bank should make full use of the technological developments to provide efficient services to its customers, especially to those living in the far flung areas. He assured EDB officials every help in up-gradation of banking technology.
He advised the EDB officials to make a short term plan for growth of the Bank and to contemplate the recruitment of staff according to the needs.
Earlier, welcoming the General Manager, A K Razdan, Chairman of ED Bank, highlighted the achievements of the Bank during last three years and expressed his confidence of getting continued support from the sponsor bank in future also.
