JAMMU, Mar 5: State Bank of India (SBI) presented a cheque of Rs 30 lakh to the nominee Sangeeta Bandral, wife of Lt Subedar, Sukhdev Singh son of Jaswant Singh resident of Peoni, Udhampur.
Subedar Sukhdev Singh was martyred in the line of duty during ceasefire violation by Pakistan in Nowshera sector of Rajouri and he was maintaining Defence Salary Package (DSP) account with SBI.
A handout stated that SBI’s DSP account has many features like inbuilt Personal Accidental Insurance (PAI) and Air accidental insurance cover of Rs 30 lakh and Rs 1 crore respectively.
The cheque was presented by SBI DGM (B&O) J&K Module, Ajitav Parashar in presence of AGM RBO III, Atulya Jerath and Branch Manager SBI Mansar, Mahesh Verma.
SBI’s DSP and Central Armed Police Salary Package (CAPSP) are specially designed salary products catering the needs and requirements of defence and central armed police personnel.
This is one of the many initiatives taken by SBI to provide financial stability to the families of deceased defence and central armed police personnel.
Sangeeta Bandral thanked SBI officials for their customer services and professionalism in settlement of the claim amount.
