Satish asks party workers in Khour to gear up activities

JAMMU, Sept 7: Senior Congress leader Satish Sharma today asked the party activists and block functionaries to gear up their activities in view of coming Assembly elections.
Addressing monthly meeting of Block Congress Committee held at Khour today Satish Sharma said that all the BCC functionaries must reach up to the people in their respective areas and project their issues. They should also extend their activities in view of up coming Assembly elections.
The Congress workers present in the meeting expressed their views and discussed about the program of compaign that the workers should launch regarding the preparation of upcoming Assembly elections. The workers discussed the functioning of the party at booth level keeping in mind the recent changes that has emerged in the political circles of J&K.
During the meeting the BCC Khour announced the nomination of new presidents for blocks Khour, Kharah Balli and Samwan. Prem Singh Chib was announced as the chairman for block Khour, Vijay Kumar for Block Samwan.
Speaking on the occasion BDC chairman Parveen Sharma lambasted the BJP sponsored new political group launched by Ghulam Nabi Azad. He said that after enjoying the power for decades Azad has deceived his motherly party just because he was not sent back to the Rajya Sabha. He said that such kind of power hungry politicians can never work for betterment of public.
Kuldeep Raj Verma said that people are now fed up of the BJP lead dictatorial regime. Common man was suffering in the hands of the administration which has adopted an adamant behaviour and is working on the lines which is completely anti- public.
Satish while addressing the meeting said that he is highly thankful to the Congress workers who have come in large number to attend the meeting on a very short notice. He asked the party activities to gear up their activities as preparations for the upcoming elections.
