Sat Sharma highlights Modi Govt’s pro-farmer policies

JAMMU, June 2: Former Minister Sat Sharma (CA) today projected pro-farmer policies and recent decisions of the Narendra Modi led Central Government for the welfare of the farming community during the COVID-19 outbreak.
Chairing a meeting of farmers and office bearers of BJP Kissan Morcha’s newly appointed team at Ward number 32 of Jammu West, the former BJP J&K unit president along with District president Munish Khajuria and Corporator Sat Pal Karlupia, said that the farmers across country and especially of the J&K were happy with the Government’s pro-farmer policies and welcomed the recent decisions of the Government to fix the MSP (Market Selling Price) of Kharif crops.
The meeting was organised under the leadership of District president Kissan Morcha, Rampaul Saini wherein District general secretaries Rajesh Gupta; Mandal president, Karan Sharma; Keshav Chopra and Raveesh Mengi were also present.
“The Government has kept its promise of fixing the MSP at a level of at least 1.5times of the cost of production,” he said adding that the decision of crop loan repayment by extending it to 31 August with rebate and interest subvention will hugely benefit the farmers across the country.
Sharma stated that the agriculture sector still constitutes a major part in building the economic structure of the country and the visions of the Prime Minister is to strengthen farmers across the country. He also blamed the Congress and their alliance partners for deteriorating the condition of the farmers during their tenure.
Karlupia highlighted various schemes of the Central Government for the welfare of farmers and stated that farmers were happy in the environment which has been built by the Prime Minster for them.
Sunita Koul, Rajesh Saini, Vikas Singh Lovely, Rahul Mehra, Ravinder Khajuria, Sandeep Singh, Ganesh Sharma, Kuldeep Saini, Pawan Choudhary, Sartaj Saini, Darshan Choudhary and others were also present during the function.
