JAMMU, June 25: Former Minister & MLA Jammu West, Sat Sharma (CA) today started blacktopping work of road near Amba theatre in Ward No. 35 of Jammu West Assembly constituency. Sharma was accompanied by officials of Public Works Department, (PWD) Corporator Ward No. 35 Yash Pal Sharma, State secretary BJP, Praduman Singh, district president BJP, Ayodhya Gupta, local residents and social and political activists of the area. The execution of works has been initiated at the cost of Rs 1.22 crore.
Speaking on the occasion, Sat Sharma said that BJP has always been committed to its basic principle Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas and efforts are being made for making the Jammu West Constituency a Model Constituency and uplifting the living standards of the people by providing all the basic amenities. Former MLA along with other leaders also toured the area and appealed to the residents of the area to keep check on the quality of works and raise the issue if they find any discrepancy.
Corporator Yash Pal Sharma on the occasion said that majority of road work have been completed in the Ward including interior roads. He assured the people that all their issues would be taken up with the concerned authorities for redressal. He also appealed local residents to keep their surroundings clean and promote the noble cause of Swachh Bharat.
Others present on the occasion were Kuldeep Gupta, Shamsher Sharma, Sanjay Bhat, Bunty, Arun Bamzai, Yog Raj Koul, Sandesh Dogra, Kanav Parotra, Sunil Sarmal.
