JAMMU, June 25: Within a short span of less than three years of its commercial launch, Reliance Jio has become the market leader in Jammu & Kashmir by capturing top position in Revenue Market Share (RMS).
Reliance Jio has now dislodged all telcos in Revenue Market Share (RMS) as per the recently published financial report for the sector released by Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) for quarter ending 31st March, 2019.
As per the report, Reliance Jio achieved a Gross Revenue (GR) of Rs 163 crore and a Revenue Market Share (RMS) of 43.5% for the quarter ending 31st March 2019. Total Revenue of Airtel stood at Rs 152 crore with an RMS of 40.6% while that of Voda Idea stood at Rs 30 crore with RMS of 7.9%. BSNL stands at 30 crore with an RMS of 8% during the same period.
Revenue market share (RMS) of a telecom service provider is the percentage of total industry revenue contributed by that operator.
A key factor contributing to Jio’s rapid growth in J&K is its robust and largest true 4G network, making Jio the most preferred 4G operator for all new smartphone buyers. JioPhone, (India Ka Smartphone), has contributed immensely to the growth of Jio in rural J&K, who aspire to use Jio’s 4G services but can’t afford expensive smartphones.
