JAMMU, Jan 24: Former State president, BJP along with Corporator Ward 26 Hardeep Singh Mankotia started construction works of lane at Subash Nagar area near Government quarters. He was accompanied by Mandal president BJP, Raveesh Mengi, local residents and political activists of the area.
The works will be executed at an estimated cost of Rs 8.55 lakh and the funds were allotted to the Corporator through JMC (Jammu Municipal Corporation).
Speaking on the occasion, Sat Sharma said that developmental works in every sphere of Jammu West are being taken up on daily basis and all 26 Wards in the constituency witnessed massive development in last six years. He said the local Corporator initiated this work as it was a long pending demand of public and he also gave him credit for the proper sanitation system in the Ward.
He appealed to the masses to be a part of “Swachh Bharat” initiative started by PM, Narendra Modi and said that it is the need of the hour in these pandemic times. He also stated “If we keep our surroundings neat and clean, it will benefit us and will keep us healthy as well’’, he added.
Hardeep Singh Mankotia said pro active approach of former MLA for looking seriously into the utmost important matters of public and said that Jammu West excelled a lot under the leadership of Sat Sharma who is still on ground and working for the welfare of inhabitants of Jammu West. He also stated that more works are in the pipeline and will be taken up in coming days.
Raveesh Mengi said that pace of development in Jammu West under leadership of former MLA shows that constituency progressed a lot in last six years and has reached to the mark of a model constituency, he added.
Mandal secretary Jatin Gupta, Sheweta Kotwal, Sudesh Sharma, Purshottam Khajuria, Suram Singh, Sandeep Jamwal, Ajju Chib and others were present.
