The letter was handed over to him during a simple function at BJP Headquarters, Trikuta Nagar near here today which besides Dara Singh was also attended by his mother.
Sat, while handing over the appointment letter to Dara Singh, said that BJP is committed to every cause that is related to the nationalist people of the country and as a public representative he has done nothing exceptional in the matter to support the family for their genuine concerns. He said that the letter of Government job in the Finance Department by the State Government has been handed over to Dara Singh after the grant of financial aid of Rs 5 lakh to the family few weeks back which is the practical proof that the present dispensation under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi at the Centre and the BJP-PDP Coalition Government in the State is keen to serve the people of the nation and the State.
He said nothing can give him more pleasure than this that he fought to seek justice for the family of a martyr which was living in abject poverty after losing its lone bread earner. He recalled all the events, including the steps taken to bring the dead body of Chamel Singh from Pakistan, raising the issue of compensation for the family with then CM Omar Abdullah, etc. He said the present CM Mehbooba Mufti deserves the credit after taking the issue in the Cabinet which recommended the case for first financial support and then Government job by the Ministry of Finance. He said that though not a great deal as the life is more important, but still speaks about the commitment of the present dispensation towards a noble cause.
He also said that he will talk to Union Home Minister, Rajnath Singh for Central compensation to the family as well as declaring Chamel Singh as a martyr as he was killed by the enemy in cold blood. He also complimented the Chief Minister saying this is an example of good governance by the present coalition.
Party leaders Karan Singh, Sanjay Baru, Suraj Singh, Balbir Ram Rattan, Purnima Sharma, Dr. Krishan Lal Bhagat, Ajay Pargal and Dr. Pardeep Mahotra also accompanied Sat Sharma.
