JAMMU, Aug 28: BJP State president & MLA, Sat Sharma (C.A.) took review meeting of ERA, PHE, Sewerage and other public concern departments to take stock of the pending development works being executed by them in Jammu West Assembly Constituency.
Sat Sharma, while addressing the meeting, took serious note of the pending works in various parts of Jammu West Assembly Constituency. He asked the officials for the reason of delay in the execution of the works. He asked the officials of these departments for the threadbare details of the works being executed by their departments and the report of the completion of all the projects.
He discussed the reasons for the delay in the laying of water pipes, sewerage and drain works and the restoration works on the roads and drains. He said that the delay in the restoration works including macadamization; tiling etc. is causing much inconvenience to the general public in day to day life, so it should be executed as early as possible.
He also remarked that the Rs 65 crore water pipe project is still incomplete and pulled the authorities for the same. He cautioned them and asked them to hasten the works in view of the rainy season and ever-increasing public inconvenience. He asked the authorities to work upon the whole plan before September 20 as service to the public should be the top priority.
While addressing the departmental officials, he said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi is committed to the development of the nation and has worked very seriously and thoroughly on the projects like “Swacch Bharat Abhiyaan” in order to pave way for “New India”.
While interacting with the officials, he gave a message to the general public, not to throw solid waste in the drains, as they block the flow of drainage water. He also informed that the Chief Minister will be invited for the discussion and inauguration of the various projects along with the MLAs of city.

Datta, Senior Engineer Consultancy Mahesh Gupta, JE (W/S) Sanjay Koul, Vishal Chopra Senior Engineer, W.A Kakroo Project Manager, Vikas Mengi DSC- J, Kanav Kerni DSC-J, Ankush Sharma and others were also present in the meeting.
