Sat asks party activists to gear up for BDC polls

RAJOURI, Oct 4: Former State President BJP and Ex-Minister, Sat Sharma (CA) visited Sunderbani, Lamberi, Siot, Seri, Nowshera, Mogla Triath, Quila Daral (Lam) and Kalakote areas in Rajouri district where he interacted with many deputations concerning Block Development Council (BDC) elections. He was accompanied by State President BJP, SC Morcha Jagdish Bhagat.
During their visit they interacted with hundreds of Panchs and Sarpanchs from various areas and also met elected Councillors with Chairman of Municipal Committees (MCs) of both Sunderbani and Nowshera. District president BJP Capt (retd) Som Dutt, Chairman, MC, Nowshera Narinder Sharma, Chairman, MC Sunderbani, Rajinder Sharma, Mandal presidents of BJP from all areas were also present during the group of meetings.
Speaking on the occasion, Sat Sharma asked the participants in the meetings to gear up for BDC elections and stated the elections will ensure supervision and monitoring of various developmental schemes, administrative and technical guidance of Panchayats and periodical reviews of their work. It will help supervise plans relating to Agriculture, Rural Development and Animal Husbandry, Social Forestry, Education and Public Health, he added.
He also stated that Central Government under the leadership of Prime Minister, Narendra Modi is committed to the welfare of masses and it wants that the funds sent by them reaches at grass root level so that development can prevail in every nook and corner of Jammu and Kashmir. He said BDC elections will ensure more development across J&K and all party cadre including elected representatives must gear up for these polls to ensure victory of party in these elections.
