RAJOURI, Oct 4: The dead body of a youth was found hanging from the branch of a tree in forest area in Sunderbani tehsil this afternoon.
The deceased has been identified as Vipan Pal Singh (28), son of Charanjeet Singh, resident of Powal village near Beri Pattan in Sunderbani. The police said according to family members, Vipan went missing during morning and he could not be traced.
The family members and his friends started searching for him and they were able to trace his body hanging from a tree in the nearby forest area at around 5 pm. The villagers informed Sunderbani police about the matter.
The police party reached the spot and shifted the body to SDH Sunderbani for postmortem. The doctors said that the autopsy on the body will be conducted tomorrow. A case was registered by police for investigation. The police said youth was unmarried and working in Punjab for the past several years. He had come home a few days ago.
