R.S PURA, Nov 28: State Co-Convener of BJP Panchayati Raj Cell and Sarpanch Flora Panchayat of Block Suchetgarh, Surjit Chowdhary here today started blacktopping work of the road leading to village Flora.
DDC Member Suchetgarh, Taranjit Singh Tony; senior BJP leader, Anand Kumar Kalia; Naib Sarpanch of Flora Panchayat, Ashok Kumar; Panch, Chudh Singh; Panch, Sardar Singh; Panch, Satya Devi; Sarpanch, Sham Lal; Shashi Kumar and large number of villagers were also present on the occasion.
Surjit Chowdhary said during Panchayati elections, his poll promise with people of the village was to start the work of blacktopping on the road which was started today.
He said that Modi government at the Centre has strengthened Panchayati Raj in J&K due to which development works are being done in Panchayats at a fast pace.
The Sarpanch assured the people that pace of development works would continue in same way in coming days as well.
DDC Member Suchetgarh, Taranjit Singh Tony said after becoming DDC, he has worked a lot to provide better basic facilities to the people living in rural areas and all the development works that were stalled in the area are being started.
