JAMMU, May 30: A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between Sanskriti University, Mathura (UP) and SKUAST- Jammu during valedictory function of 10th Seminar on Agriculture and More Beyond- 4.0 held at SKUAST to provide higher education opportunities for faculty and students of Sanskriti University and SKUAST-Jammu and promote institutional linkage between both the institutes to explore other avenues for possible collaboration where expertise exists and can be mentored by either or both of them.
The MoU was signed by the Vice Chancellor, Prof JP Sharma on behalf of SKUAST- Jammu and Chancellor, Dr Sachin Gupta on behalf of Sanskriti University in presence of Financial Commissioner (Additional Chief Secretary), Agriculture Production Department, Atal Dulloo.
Among others present were Prof Nazir Ahmad Ganai, Vice Chancellor, SKUAST-Kashmir; Dr Susheel Kumar Gupta, Registrar, SKUAST- Jammu, Dr SA Wani, Director Research, SKUAST- Kashmir, Dr SK Gupta, Director Extension, SKUAST-Jammu and Dr Rajneesh Tyagi, Dean Agriculture, Sanskriti University.
The objectives of the MoU are to promote and enhance academic interest, provide advice for implementation of quality of education and to promote research continuing educational activities between both the institutions.
Both the institutes will jointly identify specific fields to conduct collaborative research programs of mutual interest in project mode involving a Scientist from different fields, a SKUAST- Jammu spokesman said.
