JAMMU, Aug 28: Fulfilling long pending demand of inhabitants of Wazir Lane behind Dewan Breweries, Ward 41, Corporator, Sanjay Baru started construction works of lane and drain in the area. He was accompanied by a large number of people including district president, BJP Ayodhya Gupta, State vice president, BJYM Karan Sat Sharma, Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC) officials, local residents and political activists of the area.
The works will be constructed under the supervision of JMC at an estimated cost of Rs 7.33 lakh.
Speaking on the occasion, Sanjay Baru said that there were many pending works in Ward 41 which are now being taken up and many of them are completed as well. He stated that he also led a deputation of many inhabitants from the area and visited Janata Darbar of former Minister and Ex-MLA Jammu West Sat Sharma (CA) sometime back in the Ward where he sanctioned an amount of Rs 30 lakh from his Constituency Development Fund (CDF) and remaining works were also recommended by former MLA under non plan scheme due to which Ward 41 is equipped with all modern infra.
Baru also stated that in coming days many works will be taken up in the Ward in order to avoid public distress.
Defending abrogation of Article 370 and 35 -A and converting J&K into two UTs, Sanjay Baru said that this way the Narendra Modi led BJP Government has eliminated over 70 years discrimination with the people of Jammu and Ladakh regions and removed the artificial barriers created by Congress and NC in the way of total merger of State with Indian Union.
