KATRA, Nov 3: During Back to Village Programme at Panchayat Ghar Sool (Katra) here today, Sangam Theatre Group Reasi performed a Dogri Nukkad Natak “Nasha Mukt Te On Line Service”, organised by Department of Tourism J&K and Sub Divisional Magistrate Katra.
On the occasion, Principal Secretary Shaleen Kabra was the chief guest while DC Reasi Babila Rakwal was the guest of honour. Chander Mohan, BDC Panthal, Angrez Singh, SDM Katra, Anirudh Ray, ACD Reasi were also present in the presidium.
The play is based on the dangers involved in drugs consumption and its illegal trade. The play warns against the outcomes of consuming drugs and the pain it afflicts on its consumers, which is thousand times more than the vicarious pleasure it offers.
Other who were present and witnessed the show, included Hamesh Manchanda, Chief Engineer Jal Shakti Department; Rayees Ahmed Mir, BDO Panthal; R K Gupta, XEN Jal Shakti Departmrnt Reasi, Panch, Sarpanchs and other officials from various departments and large number of people from all walk of life.
The artist who performed in the play included M Akram Khan, Anamika Devi, Nidhi Singh Thakur, Rashav Banathia, Varun Khajuria, Nitika Suri, Asmail Manhas, Panjaj Kumar, Raja Aamir Khan and Abhi Bali. The play was staged under the direction by M Akram Khan.
The actors presented different situations where the menace of drugs has consumed the lives of its takers and its traders also. Chief guest and audience appreciated the content of the play and performers of the actors.
