JAMMU, Dec 30: Sandhya Sharma released Dogri Beat song `Sherni’ in a function held at Press Club here, today.
The song is based on women empowerment. On the occasion, Rajan Singh, president Yuva Rajput Sabha and Rj Rahul, 92.7 Big FM, presided over the function as chief guest and guest of honor respectively.
The song ‘Sherni’ has been sung and produced by singer Sandhya Sharma. The music was given by Wazir X Music and Directed by Aaditya Bhanu.
While congratulating artists for making songs in Dogri, Rajan Singh said that they deserve full appreciation for becoming a torch bearer to promote and preserve Dogra culture by focusing on Dogri language. He said that he expected the younger generation should follow the suit by coming forward to disseminate the richness of Dogra culture not only in Jammu but across the nation and abroad to make the people aware about the niceties of this old yet rich heritage through their performance in various fields including theatre, folk lore and folk music, Dogri songs, literature, etc.
Rj Rahul appreciated the efforts of Aaditya Bhanu and said that new opportunities are being opened up everywhere today for the innovative minds. He said that Jammu and Kashmir has the vast and rich cultural heritage and these devotees of fine arts ensure that the mind of our resourceful youth is directed towards building their careers by nurturing their skills with positive mindset.
The post production and cinematography of this song has been done by young and dynamic cinematographer Vikran Mehta whose creativity and intelligence in film making bringing laurels to the State.
The song has been written by RKT while DI has been done by Milind Verma.
The cast includes Sandhya Sharma, Urja Singh, Aaditya Bhanu, Saddam Dama and Mukeem Wani.
