SRINAGAR, Dec 30: J&K Police-XI team stood 2nd runner up in the ongoing 18th Police Martyrs Memorial Football Tournament, organized by J&K Police during a match which was played for the 2nd runner-up team at TRC Ground, here today.
The match was played between J&K Police XI and IFC Kashmir, wherein the Police team scripted a win by 4 goals to 1. Kuldeep Handoo, DySP (Dronacharya Awardee) was the chief guest of the match. The goals were scored by Gulshan Kumar, Aejaiz Ahmad, Mansoor Ahmad and Salman Hasan for the winning team, whereas Nisar Ahmad netted the lone goal for the opponent team.
Gulshan Kumar of the winning team was declared as man of the match.
The match was played in presence of the officers/ officials associated with the organizing of the tournament including Wasim Aslam Chairman JKFA, Prof BA Shah, Tournament Director, Bashir Ahmed Malik President DFA Srinagar and others.
