Samooh Theatre provides hearing machines, wheel chairs to disabled persons

JAMMU, June 1: Samooh Theatre’s Women Wing today organised a programme to distribute hearing machines and wheel chairs among differently able persons here at Community Hall, Purkhoo Migrant Camp, Jammu.
More than five wheel chairs and 20 hearing machines were distributed to the needy including children, women and old age persons belonging to the surrounding areas.
On the occasion, Kuldip Sharma, senior BJP leader and vice president, National Institute of Public Cooperation and Child Development Ministry of Government of India, was the chief guest while SP Rural, Arun Gupta, presided over the function. Gul Sayeed, Deputy Director, Horticulture and Vikram Bakshi, chairman, Bright Future School, were the guests of honour.
Kuldip Sharma in his address said such equipments to needy specially able persons shall also be provided in future also while Arun Gupta, in his address, assured every kind of help and cooperation to remove the various kinds of social stigma from the society.
Dr Gul Sayeed also spoke on this occasion and a demonstration was also given by the officials of horticulture to prepare various kinds of products which are useful in home and saleable in the market to improve financial conditions.
Earlier, Anita Chandpuri, secretary, Women Wing, Samooh Theatre, presented welcome address and briefed the guests about the future activities to be undertaken by the NGO Samooh Theatre’s Women Wing.
