SAMBA, Dec 18: Samba Police has rescued eight bovine animals late last night at Tapyal naka which were being smuggled in a Tata Mobile bearing registration number JK21/9826.
According to police a team of Ghagwal Police Station intercepted the vehicle at Tapyal Naka and the driver after seeing the police fled from the spot leaving the vehicles and animals behind.
The Police has seized the vehicle and rescued the animals. It has also registered a case against the driver under relevant Sections of the law.
