SAMBA, May 12: Samba police arrested two persons with five litres of illicit desi liquor at Naka NHW Tapyal, Ghagwal.
Police party of P/S Ghagwal while performing vehicle checking duty at Naka NHW Tapyal intercepted a car bearing Registered No. JK02AE-0262 which was coming from Kathua side and moving towards Samba.
During checking of the car, a total of five litres illicit desi liquor recovered. The accused persons identified as Mukesh Singh, S/o Dhyan Singh of Ghagwal and Lovely Singh, S/o Gulshan Singh of Chann Khatriyan, Hiranagar have been arrested on spot and contraband item was also seized.
In this regard, a case FIR No. 43/2020 U/S 48 (A) Excise Act registered at P/S Ghagwal and investigation started.
