RAJOURI, May 12: The police arrested one person for smuggling illicit liquor in Sunderbani area today.
Official sources said that a team from Police Station Sunderbani headed by SHO Sanjeev Slathia under the supervision of Sub Divisional Police Officer, Nowshera Zakir Shaheen Mirza during routine patrolling in Kangri area, noticed a person moving under mysterious circumstances.
Sensing suspicion, police team intercepted the man and during frisking, seven litres of locally prepared liquor was seized from his possession.
Accused has been identified as Sourav Sharma, son of Raghunath Sharma, resident of Lower Kangri. He has been arrested and a case FIR No. 49/2020 under relevant sections of law have been registered in Police Station Sundebani.
