JAMMU, May 12: A young woman died today under mysterious circumstances in Marh area of city outskirts.
“The woman identified as Kalpana Kumari (23) wife of Hukum Raj, resident of Tokriyan (Marh) was admitted in Government Medical College and Hospital, Jammu after her health suddenly deteriorated,” a police official said.
He said the woman expired after few hours in the Hospital. “It appears that the woman has committed some poison substance but the matter of investigation is whether she herself took poison or was given by somebody,” the official added.
The police official said that inquest proceeding under 174 CrPC has been initiated in this connection at police station Kanachak.
