SAMBA, May 15: Ramgarh Police in association with District Special Bureau (DSB) have recovered 130 pouches of JK Excise from the possession of two persons during the surprise nakas today. Both the persons were also arrested.
According to reports a Police Party of P/S Ramgarh headed by its SHO in association with a team of DSB Samba under the close supervision of SDPO Vijaypur laid a surprise naka at Khour Ramgarh and apprehended one person namely Sunny Khajuria S/o Sat Paul R/o Bara Tehsil & District Samba and recovered 65 pouches/nips of JK Excise (each 180 ml) from his possession. He was arrested on the spot. In this connection case FIR No. 27/2017 U/S 48-F Excise Act stands registered at P/S Ramgarh and investigation taken up.
Similarly, in another incident police party of P/S Ramgarh headed by SHO P/S Ramgarh in association with a team of DSB Samba succeeded in apprehending of one person namely Manohar Lal S/o Ved Parkash R/o Bara Tehsil & District Samba who was possessing 65 pouches/nips of JK Excise (each 180 ml) illegally for black marketing. The accused person was arrested on the spot. In this connection case FIR No. 28/2017 U/S 48-F Excise Act has been registered at PS Ramgarh and investigation taken up.
It may be recalled that Samba Police has launched a continuous drive against the menace of the drugs and illicit liquor on the directions of Senior Superintendent of Police Samba Anil Magotra.
