SAMBA, Aug 29: Highlighting the significance of Samba, the NC Candidate Satwant Kaur Dogra declared that the constituency will be transformed into a developmental hub and that her mission is to make Samba a model constituency of Jammu & Kashmir.
While addressing public meetings at Mandigarh here today, Mrs Dogra said that for the last 8 years she is amidst people of this constituency highlighting their problems at every forum and is aware about the burning issues which need immediate attention. Highlighting road, water and electricity as major problems of the constituency, she said that her first priority would be to address these burning issues and stressed that we have to ensure that Samba emerges as a hub of activity keeping in view the strategic location on the National Highway.
Satwant Kaur envisioned a big future for Samba and said that mission can be realized only with the active participation and support of the people. She said she believes in participatory development and keeping this objective in view, the local population will all along be taken on board while devising the developmental strategies of Constituency.
Highlighting the problems being faced by people, Satwant Dogra said that for the last 12 years “commission system” in development works has emerged very fast in Samba and the real burning issues of the people have been totally ignored and added that sitting MLA without any vision or mission has totally failed in solving the basic problems of people.
She called upon people to come forward and vote in large numbers in assembly elections in the interest of development of Samba and reject the designs of those who are bent upon to polarize the people on the lines of caste, religion and region.
