SAMBA: Mar 17: The district administration Samba today locked another School for violating the orders issued by the Government to close educational institutions as a safety measure against Coronavirus a deadly epidemic.
A team of Revenue officers and police today conducted a joint inspection of schools functional in tehsil Ghagwal and sealed one High School in the area.
As per an official handout, the Tagore Institute of Education has reportedly allowed the parents meeting in the premises of the school and messages were also sent through SMS to the parents to attend the meet.
During the on-spot inspection by Sub-Divisional Surveillance Committee under the supervision of Sub Divisional Magistrate, Ghagwal, Ram Kesh Sharma it was found that school was open and children were present in the premises along with their parents in violation of the orders of District Magistrate Samba. The authorities taking a quick action sealed the school.
The Samba Administration has time and again appealed and also issued various notices regarding closure of all the institutions in district today again invoked a general advisory to all the schools operating in district Samba regarding strict compliance of the orders.
It may be recalled that District Magistrate Samba, Rohit Khajuria issued orders regarding closure of all the educational institutions, Universities, Government Training Centres and Anganwadi centres in district Samba in order to prevent the out break of COVID-19.
Yesterday district administration had sealed the New Light Public Higher Secondary School, Bari Brahmana for flouting the Government orders. Earlier the district administration had not allowed the inauguration ceremony of new educational institute in Bari Brahmana in view of the Coronavirus threat.
