JAMMU, May 14: A delegation of PHDCCI led by Rahul Sahai, Jammu chapter head called on Shiv Kumar Gupta, Vice Chairman Jammu Development Authority (JDA) and discussed some important locals issues related to wrong land use /classification notified in Master Plan, early regularization of commercial establishments in Gandhi Nagar / Trikuta Nagar / Channi etc, demarcation of all JDA lands and early completion of online services in JDA.
He also discussed wrong works going on in Transport Nagar under Jammu Metropolitan Regional Development Authority (JMRDA) project executed by JDA worth Rs 33.57 crores.
Sahai, Chair PHDCCI Jammu apprised him about the activities of PHDCCI in J&K and nationwide. He also sensitized about the yearly PHDCCI activity of Ambassadors meet at national level. He said that PHDCCI has been supporting various pragmatic initiatives of the UT of J&K and Central Government towards the economic, industrial, and overall development of J&K.
He pointed out about wrong land classification done in Master Plan by the agency in which some areas/lands are wrongly classified into various colours eg green, red, blue etc. Sahai further said similar green colour is classified as Nursery / orchards / open space / recreation / vegetation / water body buffer and same way red is classified as public and semi public / public utility / slaughter house etc which is very confusing and is not done real time. Sahai said many people have certificates from Revenue department that their land is commercial (Banjar Kadeem) but this agency has classified that land as Nursery/residential etc. He said if land sale purchase will not happen it is a direct loss of taxes and development. He suggested to open the window to rectify the same at the earliest.
Sahai asked him to expedite the process of starting online services in JDA and informed that in 2018 on one file regarding transfer of property there use to be 101 signatures of JDA officers and transfer of property takes one year some time. He informed him about change of land use applications pending with JDA.
He also discussed issues related to Transport Nagar Jammu under Jammu Metropolitan Regional Development Authority (JMRDA) project executed by JDA of Rs 33.57 crores which includes 9 kms of road 50 mm thick with bitumen macadam with 25 mm thick carpet, 9 kms of RCC drains, 5.4 kms of internal roads/intersection with 80 mm thick drains, provision of electrification, sign boards and 6 number of automatic electro mechanical barriers. Sahai apprised VC JDA that contractor is not doing works as per the requirement and it needs to be checked at the earliest .
Vice Chairman JDA gave a patient hearing and assured that the issues will be addressed in due course of time.
