JAMMU, July 15: National Conference unit of Block Mandal  took a protest candle march to express sorrow and anguish over the killing of Shri Amarnath ji yatris in a militant attack, this evening.
The protesting NC activists carrying candles in hands passed through main bazaar of this small border town of  Marh Sub Division to express their concern over the terrorists attack on the innocent pilgrims in Kashmir.
Addressing the protestors, former minister and senior NC leader,  Ajay Sadhotra said unequivocal and strong condemnation of killing of Shri Amarnath ji yatris in J&K as well as other parts of the country is a bright silver lining for strengthening composite culture of the state and the country. It is a clear cut indication from the people of  the country that there is dire need of strengthening composite culture.
He said our State has always been a symbol of coexistence and tolerance and people are peace loving. Unequivocal condemnation has proved that terrorism has no religion and one who believes in his own religion will always respect other religions because no religion teaches killing of innocent persons.
Sadhotra said that it is very astonishing that despite tall claims of BJP at Centre and  PDP-BJP in the State, militants attacked yatris and ran  away and till date are not traceable. He asked the Government to make adequate corrective measures to ensure security to the yatris instead of making tall hollow claims.
After  condemnation of Amarnath ji yatris killings, both the governments at the Centre and the State should take effective measures to further strengthen the composite culture, coexistence and tolerance in the country, he added.
Prominent participants included  Raghubir Singh, Bhagat Bishan Dass,  Kuldeep Raj,  Jagmohan,  Pardeep Kumar, Bhagat Baru Ram, Ch Jeet Lal, Khajoor Ram Bhagat,  Joginder Lal,  Tara Chand and Parveen Kumar.
