Sadhotra inaugurates painting exhibition

JAMMU, Nov 9: Minister for Labour, Planning and Development Ajay Kumar Sadhotra today inaugurated a two-day exhibition of art at Kala Kendra. The art exhibition includes works of Satish Gupta and subjects encompass topics ranging from aesthetic beauty, nature, divinity, wildlife, still-life etc.
Interacting with the artists and visitors on the occasion, Mr. Sadhotra hoped that artists will continue to quench the aesthetic and spiritual thirst of people by expressing realistic depiction of nature through their paintings. He said the best reward for an artist is when his or her work mesmerizes audience.
The Minister hoped that the budding artists will take inspiration from the talented and versatile artists and convey their feeling through brush and the canvass.
Mr Sadhotra showed keen interest in the paintings and complimented Mr Gupta hoping that given his devotion to the art, he will make a niche for himself in the near future. He appreciated the maiden attempt of Sunil Gupta and said that if it is a beginning, future is really bright for the artist.
A large number of art lovers were present on the occasion. Prominent among them were the Additional Secretary, Academy of Art, Culture and Languages, Savita Bakhsi and other officers.
