JAMMU, July 16 : An educational-cum-motivational tour `Carvan-e-Hind’ was flagged- off today by the Commander of Nowshera Brigade from the `Butalia Auditorium’.
Being conducted under `Operation Sadbhavana’, 22 students hailing from the remote border areas of Nowshera sector, form part of the nine day tour from July 16 to 24. During the tour, the students will get the opportunity to visit various historical places and places of interest at Bhopal and Chennai. They would also get the privilege of interacting with the President of India and also with the Chief of the Army Staff at New Delhi. The children will also interact with the Governor of Tamil Nadu in Chennai.
Several senior army officers and civilian dignitaries were present on the occasion Speaking on the occasion, the Commander requested the students to imbibe and learn from their experiences gained at the various places during the educational tour, and also spread the message of peace and harmony. The tour will provide the students a brief exposure to the industrial development, the quality of life and places of economic interest in the other parts of the country. The tour will also instill a sense of awareness and national integration amongst the students of these areas.
