Sad that ‘Hannibal’ is cancelled: Lee Pace

LONDON, June 26:  Actor Lee Pace has said that he is unhappy that “Hannibal” has been cancelled by NBC.
The 36-year-old “Guardians of the Galaxy” actor has worked with “Hannibal” showrunner Bryan Fuller on “Pushing Daisies” and “Wonderfalls” in the past, and was hopeful of landing a role in the horror series, reported Digital Spy.
“I was so disappointed that Hannibal was cancelled. It’s kind of brought back the memories of when Pushing Daisies was cancelled too soon. I just thought ‘What the hell? What do you have to do to win this?'” Pace said.
“I love what Bryan Fuller is doing with Hannibal, it’s such a smart show and so beautiful and cinematic. It’s got such a committed, loyal fanbase. I’m really excited to see what Richard Armitage does when he comes on as the Red Dragon, because that’s such an awesome character.”
Pace added that he is still up for appearing in “Hannibal” should it be revived by another network.
“Me and Brian have been talking about finding a place on the show for a long time. I guess I just always assumed it would keep going because it was so smart, and I’m so bummed that it’s been cancelled.
“I love working with Brian, he’s a good friend and one of the real artists, so absolutely I would like a role.” (PTI)
