SAD Badal expresses displeasure over neglect of Sikh representative in PSC

JAMMU, Mar 16: Expressing displeasure over the neglect of Sikh community in the recently appointed chairman and members of Public Service Commission (PSC), Shriomani Akali Dal (Badal) J&K Unit in a meeting held under the chairmanship of its president Jathedar Mohinder Singh said that the neglect of qualified, competent and honest members of the community will not only alienate the community further but also is contrary to the claims of the Govt for growth and development to all sections, irrespective of caste, creed and religion.
“The Sikh community feel deeply hurt as there is no representative of the community in the recruitment agencies of the State, be it SSRB or PSC,” expressed Mr Singh.
He said that that the Sikh community hardly sees any change in the governance, and the present dispensation, unexpectedly is not better than the past.
Urging the Government to take necessary steps with regard to inducting any member of the community in the Cabinet, the Unit said that the step will prevent further alienation of the community.
Prominent among others who attended the meeting included HS Raina, Advocate Surinder Singh, Surinder Singh Wazir, Harmohinder Singh, Rajinder Singh Wazir, Suchwant Singh and Ranjit Singh.
