SAMBA, Mar 16: To discuss the arrangements for ensuing Navratras and commencing from March 21, a meeting of senior officers was convened by District Development Commissioner, Samba, Sheetal Nanda here today.
The meeting discussed in detail the necessary arrangements of security, traffic regulation, drinking water and power supply, maintenance of roads, checking of prices, quantity of commodities and food items, sanitation, first aid, deployment of fire tenders etc. with particular emphasis on Chichi Mata Temple, Purmandal, Utterbehni, Narsingh Dev Temple etc. which remain heavily crowded before and during Navratras.
ADDC Samba, Vivek Sharma, ADC Samba, Inderjeet Bhagat, CEO Surinsar Mansar Development Authority, Vikas Gupta, ACR Samba Sonu Pargal, SDM Vijaypur and Ghagwal, CMO Samba, officers from police and traffic and representatives from religious organizations attended the meeting.
Later, DDC Samba flagged off vehicle for creating awareness regarding judicious use of water, importance of safe drinking water and sanitation in connection with celebration of National Rural Drinking Water and Sanitation Awareness Week (16th to 22nd of March) in District Samba.
