SABLO holds meet, approves election of Rajan Gupta

JAMMU, Feb 6: The General Body meeting of Shri Amarnath Barfani Langars Organisation (SABLO) was held at Ambala in Haryana under the chairmanship of Rajan Gupta.
There were over 44 organizations from Punjab Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, UT of Chandigarh, Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan etc which participated in this meeting.
H.K Chugh general secretary SABLO informed the members that a meeting was held in the last week of January with Additional CEO, Rahul Singh and he listened the SABLO delegation. The various problems faced by langar organisations on twin route of Shri Amarnath Yatra from Chandanwadi to holy cave and from Baltal to holy cave.
The issues discussed with Additional CEO were relaxation in compulsory health certificate of yatris, police verification of Sevadars of langers, giving night shelter to yatri’s in langar and Bhandaras, increase in the number of Sevadars from 65 to 100, withdrawal of penalty classes and black listing of langars, insurance covers of Rs five lakh for Sevadar, food menu to be revised, audited balance sheets for three years should be withdrawn, health and other necessary services should be increased, inclusion of representatives of langar organisations in various committees formed by Shrine Board for bettering the arrangements for yatris, special security and safety arrangements in case of cloud burst and floods, taking steps for increasing the number of yatris, resumption of online registration counters and centres, Igloo huts and concrete bunkers provision for storage of Bhandara items, improvement in Yatra Marg with provision of toilets and bathrooms should be increased, power electricity and water supply at various camps should be provided, digital map boards with site number at various camps should be installed,
exploitation of yatris by pony Wala, Pithoos and various agencies should be stopped, improvement in the communication system on the twin Yatra Marg etc.
The members from various stations and States expressed their suggestions and problems after hearing this memorandum presented to Shrine Board, their suggestions were noted and assured to be forwarded to the Shrine Board.
Election of Rajan Gupta in the previous meeting as president was confirmed unanimously in this meeting by all the members.
Annual subscription fee as suggested by Mahesh Mittal from Rohtak was approved unanimously.
Applications of permissions for Bhandaras were collected which will be submitted to the Shrine Board.
Rajan Gupta assured to work with more dedication to the satisfaction of all members.
Vijay Mehra assured all the members that accounts and balance sheets of the organisation will be presented before the members in the Annual General Meeting every year for confirmation and verification. A transparent and crystal clear system will be adopted for the improvement and betterment of langar organisations.
