KANPUR, July 16: Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) plans to open its Shakha in all villages across the country by next year.
“By 2017 all villages across the country will organise Shakha to connect children in the age group of eight to 15 years with the activities of RSS,” said RSS Joint General Secretary Dattrataya Hosbole here yesterday.
A decision to this effect was taken during the annual national meet of the pracharaks here.
RSS also plans a two-day meet very soon to finalise the strategy to go to all the villages.
Mr Hosbole said 47,000 people have connected with the RSS websites while million of people were supporting the ideologies of the Sangh nowadays particularly in connection with nationalism.
Around 26,000 have taken training of the RSS for one year of which 23,000 are youths under the age of 40 yrs.
He said Sakhas are organised in every division of Meerut and very soon every settlement in UP would witness Sakhas. (UNI)
