RSS holds various programmes to celebrate Varsh Pratipada

JAMMU, Mar 18: Various functions in connection with Varsh Pratipada were organized by Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) here, today. The day also coincides with the birthday of founder Sarsangchalak of RSS,  Dr Hedgewar who had laid the foundation of Sangh on Vijay Dashmi in 1925.
RSS Prant Karivah,  Parshotam Dadichi  was the main speaker at the Baba Jattu Nagar programme while former HoD Economics University of Jammu, Prof A N Sadhu presided over the programme held at Durga Nag Trust Community Hall,Barnai.  Parshotam Dadichi highlighted the objective of Sangh which has come into existence to lay the foundation of a strong nation so that India can regain the status of Vishwa Guru.
He said Sangh is working in nation building and despite facing many hardships from its detractors in the country its activists never looked behind and devoted their life for strengthening the society which in turn can make the nation strong.
He said Sangh is above cast, creed and region and religion and it treats all people alike who are devoted to their motherland.  Parshotam Dadichi took the parties to task which ruled the country for last 70 years after independence by thrusting the western culture and ignoring the rich culture and traditions of India.
He said the western prayers were introduced in schools which highlight their culture while ignoring traditional prayers of India which teach morality and character building.
He highlighted the contribution of Maha Rishi Dayanand Saraswati, Swami Rama Krishna Paramhansa, Swami Vivekananda, Swami Ramanuj, Dr Hedgewar and Guru Golewalkar.
Speaking on the occasion Prof A N Sadhu also highlighted the contribution of RSS in nation building. He, while highlighting the problems of the displaced people said it is unfortunate that they are entering into the 29th year of their exile. He said it is a great tragedy that the Pandits who are the indigenous people of the Valley have not been rehabilitated in Kashmir during last 28 years by successive governments which is a cause of concern.
The RSS volunteers in full dress attended the programme which started with prayer.
The programmes were also held in all 16 Nagars of Jammu divided in two parts Raghunath Bagh and Bahu Bagh. At Sanjeevani Sharda Kendra function Shiban Khybri a free lance journalist was the chief guest.
The role of Sangh in nation building was also highlighted by Mahanagar Parivar Pramodhan Parmukh, Kali Dass Ji at a function organized in Manorama Vihar Bohri.
