Rs 8.50 crore senior citizens complex coming up at Jagti

Meeting reviews ground position of project

JAMMU, Aug 29: Senior Citizens Care Complex Managing Committee, Om Chandan Brahmputra Sanstha” Panjgrain met in the administrative office at Panjgrain, Jagti, Nagrota, near here under the chairmanship of it’s chief patron Dr M K Razdan to review the ground position of prestigious `Senior Citizens Care Complex’ coming up at its land in Panchayat Panjgrain in Nagrota Constituency at an estimated cost of over Rs 8.50 crore in phases manner.
During the meeting, which was attended largely by volunteers connected to Project mostly from Jagti township , B L Bhat, chairman SRMA , Nagdandi, Member Advisory Committee explained essential parameters connected to the project with all objectives.
He informed that unlike present exiting old age homes , this project will house all senior citizens in isolation form various walks of life like retired bureaucrats , technocrats, medical professionals experienced and enriched with expertise to contribute their share towards human service and nation building. The complex can be “Aashiana and Aasra” even for poor hopeless dependent class of displaced members of the community, he added.
The three storey complex will have dormitories, conference halls, yoga medication halls, living and dinning rooms , besides modern coaching centre for youth, recreational and health care unit, Bhat said.
The administrative block is under completion and Dr M K Razdan generated nearly Rs four lakh during meeting for its immediate completion. Efforts are on to arrange funds for the project as per approved technical report, he added.
The meeting among others was addressed by Chand Ji Bramchari, president of the Trust, Nana Ji Sathoo, vice president and Maharaj Krishan Pandita , general secretary, Jaya and Maharaj Krishan Razdan Foundation J&K. The welcome address was given by its president Chand Ji Raina and vote of thanks by M K Pandita general secretary.
The function was attended by Rajnath Koul, Ramesh Koul, Rattan Lal Pandita, Moti Lal Pandita, B K Koul, Sunil Tickoo, R K Sadhu among others.
