‘Rs. 1.12 cr earmarked for up-gradation of Doda town roads

SRINAGAR, Oct 9: The Minister of State for R&B Javed Ahmed Dar has said that an amount of Rs. 1.12 crore is being spent on widening and upgradation of roads of Dak Banglow-Old Bus Stand, Doda Desa, Doda Bharth and Ghat via Nagri against which Rs. 32 lakh have already been released.
The Minister was replying to a Calling Attention Notice by Khalid Najeeb Suharwardy today.
The Minister said that District Administration Doda has launched a drive for removing of encroachments on various roads of Doda town. He said on Doda Desa road the encroachments have partly been removed while upgradation and construction of drain is in progress. He said utilities stands shifted on these roads to carry out upgradation work smoothly for which Rs 15 lakhs have been advanced to PHE and Electric Departments.
