JAMMU, Aug 29: The Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) has assigned the additional charge of Regional Passport Officer (RPO), Kashmir Division & Ladakh to RPO Jammu Nishith Kumar Shil as B B Nagar demits office of PO Kashmir & Ladakh on August 31, 2022 on completion of his tenure.
Shil, a 2008 batch AIS officer who has already been holding the charge of Passport Officer, Jammu Division and Regional Director of Regional Office, ICCR, J&K and Ladakh, will assume the charge of RPO Srinagar with effect from 31/08/2022(AN) till the appointment of a regular incumbent or until further orders.
Now the officer will head all three prestigious offices of MEA in J&K and Ladakh.
Commenting on his additional charge, Shil said: “I feel honoured to take the additional charge of extremely important office. My priority as head of the office is to ensure better citizen centric delivery of passport related services in an efficient, effective, convenient, cordial and timely manner.
